Each class trades stats differently rather than one simply being stronger overall — here's every fighter's real numbers, including approximate damage output per second (average hit damage divided by attack cooldown, before critical hits):
| Class | HP | Speed | Range | ~DPS | Crit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vanguard | 125 | 62 | 38 | 16.5 | 7% |
| Ranger | 90 | 82 | 165 | 10.9 | 11% |
| Arcanist | 86 | 70 | 145 | 11.4 | 10% |
| Striker | 96 | 98 | 34 | 22.0 | 18% |
| Brawler | 100 | 72 | 36 | 16.0 | 9% |
Vanguard is the clear tank — highest HP by a wide margin, but the slowest fighter on the field. Striker is the opposite extreme: fastest, highest crit chance, and the highest raw DPS of any class, paid for with a below-average HP pool and the shortest attack range, tied with Vanguard. Ranger and Arcanist both trade melee range for the longest attack distances by far (165 and 145 respectively, against 34–38 for the three melee classes), letting them damage opponents before those opponents can reach them at all — at the cost of the lowest HP totals in the roster. Brawler, the Equal Fighters default class, sits in the middle of nearly every stat, which is part of why it's a reasonable choice when the whole point of a match is testing pure randomness rather than class matchups.
Striker's 22.0 DPS is nearly double Ranger's 10.9 — but Striker only gets there at melee range, in direct exchange with whatever it's fighting, while Ranger and Arcanist can apply steady pressure from well outside melee entirely. In a fight between a Striker and a Ranger with equal starting HP, positioning and how fast the Striker can close the distance matters as much as either class's raw numbers — which is exactly the kind of matchup dynamic that makes Random Classes mode more visually varied than Equal Fighters, where every contestant shares one identical stat line.
Every name becomes an AI-controlled fighter. Fighters move, choose targets, attack, take damage, and are eliminated until one survivor remains.
